Internal experience, external movement

Anthroposophically inspired art is a vivid part of public culture. It attempts to give adequate shape to the inner process of perceiving form, colour, tone or sound, separating this inner experience from the actual external object.

Eurythmy as "visible music" and "visible speech", is more than just an interpretation of speech or music. Its individual movements and gestures reveal the inherent laws of these art forms, and, as an artistic process itself, are turned into a continuous, flowing movement. Eurythmy transforms the internal experience with and through the human being into an external movement.

Form, colour, tone and sound, as artistic expressions, can all inspire us through inner experiences that bear fruit in our daily work. It is the artists' task, as well as a research subject, to convey these creative, healing impulses, so that their potential is realised in the lives of human beings.

Your contribution towards the arts
Today’s culture places great emphasis on thinking and willing. Anthroposophical art consciously seeks to strengthen the middle region of the human heart, thereby uniting head, heart and hand.

Donate 50 Francs towards ‘Art for Life’.
With your contribution you support and encourage further research into the fascinating connections between art and the development of new faculties at every stage of life.

Thanks to your donation, these results can be documented and made available to science and the general public. A case in point is the art therapy project at the Ita Wegman Clinic in Arlesheim, near Basel, where first results have shown that speech therapy can have a positive influence on the regulation of blood pressure.

All research in this area is funded by donations.
